The product.

TrackItTV is a reference implementation for long-running live channels on AWS, built as a continuous livestream rather than a staged demo. As Product Manager, I owned the definition, discovery, and delivery of the product, from product goals to technical scope and go-to-market usage.

Rationale

Why it exists.

Rather than relying on slides or architecture diagrams, TrackItTV allowed stakeholders to see and discuss a real, always-on live system. The product was built to do things that only become visible under sustained operation.

Monetization

Monetization.

Monetization was treated as a first-class product capability, not an add-on. Because TrackItTV runs as a 24/7 live channel, ads needed to work reliably over long periods under real live streaming constraints.

Instead of relying on an external ad platform, we built a custom ad server to fully control ad decisioning logic, test different monetization strategies, and avoid black-box behavior during demos and technical discussions.

Ad formats implemented
Server-Side Ad Insertion (SSAI): ads stitched directly into the live stream before delivery
Client-Side Ad Insertion (CSAI): display banners rendered by the player
L-shape video overlays: CSAI format commonly used by broadcasters
Trade-offs

SSAI vs CSAI.

Supporting both approaches was a deliberate product decision to reflect real-world broadcaster monetization strategies. The goal was not to pick the best approach, but to make the differences explicit and observable.

Ownership

PM ownership.

The product was not designed as a commercial SaaS, but as a credible, production-like live system that could support technical discussions, demos, and marketing content. I acted as the single point of ownership across product, engineering, and go-to-market.
